In summer months, the facility is used as an indoor arena and to house indoor events, such as fair free stages, community barbecues, car shows, etc.

Showers are available for use by the public upon request. A heated concession area is also available for use by groups large and small. Use of the facility is managed by the McKenzie County Hockey club in winter months and the McKenzie County Fairboard in the summer.
