Deidre Berquist is currently Tax Director in Training.

The County Tax Director's primary duty is to assess a value to property whether it is land or buildings.  This is all done for tax purposes.  The office also holds the records on property information such as the square footage of a house or lot, age, number of rooms or ownership chain. 

The Tax Director is also the Supervisor of Township Assessors and the local Assessor for Arnegard, Alexander and Watford City.

In addition to assessment duties, the County Tax Director is responsible for distributing Mobile Home Moving Permits.
